Bharal, male, reconstructed at 1:20 scale and hand-painted in polyurethane resin. 85 × 70 mm. Sculpted by J. Miguel Aparicio, made to order.
The blue sheep of the Himalaya, and the principal prey of the snow leopard. Neither true sheep nor true goat, the bharal carries smooth horns that sweep outward and back. The slate-grey coat with its black flank stripe is reproduced in the muted tones the animal shows against high-altitude rock.
Modelled by hand in heat-hardened clay over a wire armature, moulded in silicone and cast in polyurethane resin. Every copy is cleaned, retouched and painted by hand in acrylics, so no two pieces are ever strictly identical.
Made to order. Each casting is finished individually, so please allow time for preparation before dispatch.
