Kiang, male, reconstructed at 1:22-1:20 scale and hand-painted in polyurethane resin. 117 × 87 mm. Sculpted by J. Miguel Aparicio, made to order.
The largest of the wild asses, at home above 4,000 metres on the Tibetan plateau. The kiang’s deep chestnut flanks break sharply against a white belly, a countershading pattern that the paintwork follows closely. Modelled in the alert, head-raised stance typical of a stallion watching a herd.
Modelled by hand in heat-hardened clay over a wire armature, moulded in silicone and cast in polyurethane resin. Every copy is cleaned, retouched and painted by hand in acrylics, so no two pieces are ever strictly identical.
Made to order. Each casting is finished individually, so please allow time for preparation before dispatch.
