Four-horned Giraffid, reconstructed at 1:20 scale and hand-painted in polyurethane resin. 170 × 160 mm. Sculpted by J. Miguel Aparicio, made to order.
A four-horned relative of giraffes and okapi, described in 2017 from remains found at Batallones near Madrid. It carried two small ossicones over the eyes and a second, much larger pair behind them, making it the earliest known member of a lineage that would later include Sivatherium.
Modelled by hand in heat-hardened clay over a wire armature, moulded in silicone and cast in polyurethane resin. Every copy is cleaned, retouched and painted by hand in acrylics, so no two pieces are ever strictly identical.
Made to order. Each casting is finished individually, so please allow time for preparation before dispatch.
