An armoured relative of modern armadillos, roughly the size of a small car, protected by a fused carapace of over a thousand bony plates. The rigid shell and the short, deep skull are the identifying features; the texture of the osteoderms is worked individually across the whole dome.
Modelled by hand in heat-hardened clay over a wire armature, moulded in silicone and cast in polyurethane resin. Every copy is cleaned, retouched and painted by hand in acrylics, so no two pieces are ever strictly identical.
Made to order. Each casting is finished individually, so please allow time for preparation before dispatch.
