Crocuta crocuta spelaea — 1:20 Scale Hand-Painted Resin Replica

The Ice Age subspecies of the spotted hyena, larger and more robust than the African form and a major accumulator of the bone assemblages found in European caves. The sloping back and heavy forequarters are reproduced faithfully; this was an animal built to carry carcasses over distance.

About this piece

Modelled by hand in heat-hardened clay over a wire armature, moulded in silicone and cast in polyurethane resin. Every copy is cleaned, retouched and painted by hand in acrylics, so no two pieces are ever strictly identical.
